The infrared NightLight features an adjustable guidelight to make sure the room is always safely lit. |
With the OSS10, you can make sure the rooms in your home or hotel are always safely lit. When ambient light lowers to a certain level, the LED will switch on for visibility. A dial adjust allows you to set the brightness to where it's most convenient. The dimmed mode allows the LED to dim to five percent after five minutes of inactivity, brightening again only if it detects movement. In continuous mode, the LED night-light will turn on at full brightness when occupancy is detected and remain at that set level of brightness.
Dual-Sensor Lighting for Convenience
This switch functions as both a night-light and a wall switch for lighting systems--two separate sensors operate independently. When its sensor detects movement in a low-light situation, the LED switches on for safe guidance. Set the switch to activate overhead lights for additional illumination, or keep the room lit only by the LED to avoid unwanted overhead lighting.
Save Energy and Money With Auto Shut-off
You can manually operate the OSS10 as you would any other light switch. Additionally, the overhead lights will remain on as long as there's motion in the room. After an adjustable period of inactivity, the room lights will turn off and the night-light will switch on. This auto-off functionality means an end to empty rooms lit by overhead lights.
This product comes with a manufacturer's limited 5-year warranty.
What's in the Box
The Leviton OSS10-IDW Decora Passive Infrared Wall Switch Occupancy Sensor, mounting screws, installation instructions.
The designer occupancy sensor wall switch with LED NightLight is designed to provide occupancy detection with a Guide Light/NightLight all in one clean, attractive wall switch device. The NightLight automatically illuminates based on the ambient level of light present in the space providing a comfortable, low level of light that helps guide the occupant without activating general lighting. It operates separately from the lighting load controlled by the occupancy sensor. Manually switch lights ON and automatically switch lights OFF. Offering the same performance features as the ODS family of occupancy sensors, this model has the ability to reduce (dim) and turn off the luminance of the Guide Light function with a simple dial setting. The LED NightLight consumes less than one half of a watt providing energy savings and guide lighting when room lights are off. The controlled lights will remain ON until no motion is detected and the scheduled time-delay has expired. The LED NightLight operates separately from the controlled lights and will turn ON via a photocell when the ambient light in the space is approximately less than 1 foot-candle and turn OFF when the ambient light exceeds 5 foot-candles. The LED NightLight is adjustable for continuous mode or dimmed mode. In the dimmed mode the LED dims to approximately 5% of full brightness after 2 minutes of no occupancy. When in the manual ON switch mode, the LED NightLight will go to full brightness per the adjustable setting when occupancy is detected and the ambient light level to the photocell is less than 1 foot-candle. It returns to the low setting when occupancy is no longer detected and the ambient light level present to the photocell is less than 1 foot-candle.
